GLOG Class: Cardsharp
People are stupid - once you realize that, it's quite easy to turn a profit. People are vengeful - once you realize that, it's quite easy to keep it. My boy, you'll act as a dealer to our tomorrow's game, and before you do, I've gott to teach you a few tricks.
Cardsharp:
- Starting equipment: A marked deck of cards, 2 unmarked decks of cards, d20 golden coins, a suit that garners attention and a suit that helps you avoid it and d4 angry people you have screwed over that remember your face.
- Starting Skill: (roll d3) 1. Painting 2. Stage Magic 3. Criminal
- A: Dirty Cheater
- B: One more
- C: Never seen their face
- D: All or nothing
Dirty Cheater: When playing a game of chance you have witnessed at least three rounds of you can decide the results of the game using a combination of maths and cheating.
One more: You're not stupid enough to suggest to a person whose gold you just won to play another round - you've learned to make them do it for you. A person that has lost with you for the first time will surely suggest a next game, and gambling addicts will be unable to stop playing with you.
Never seen their face: Once you've fleeced enough folks, you'll begin to realize that it's not the hardest part to make them part with their money - it's to keep it afterwards. With five minutes of changing parts of your appearance, you can become almost unrecognizable, unless to a close friend or a family member.
All or nothing: For all that you've cheated and calculated, sometimes you still have to surrender yourself to Fortune's whims. Before a d20 check you can say "All or nothing" - if you do so, flip a coin instead. Heads - there's a fumble. Tails - you hit a critical. Feel free to cheat on the toss, but if anyone at the table catches you, it's an automatic fumble.
